Bio

In 2009 Tim Meinhardt moved to Munich to pursue a B.Sc in physics at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) and spent a semester abroad at the Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, Turkey. He finished his Bachelor in 2013 with a thesis in statistical and biological physics and in the interest of acquiring more practical experience he started to work as a software engineer in Berlin and Munich. In order to strengthen his education in computer vision he then completed a M.Sc. in Computer Science from 2014 to 2017 at the LMU. Benefitting from his physics and software engineering background he focused his studies and ongoing work experiences on machine learning and data-driven research topics. In 2017, he started a Ph.D. position at the Dynamic Vision and Learning Group under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Laura Leal-Taixé.
