Who are we?

The Dynamic Vision and Learning group at TUM is a group of passionate researchers, working on Machine Learning and Computer Vision. We strive to provide computers with the capability to understand the world around them by recognizing objects or understanding scenes and actions. We are particularyly interested in understanding dynamic scenes: how has this object moved and where is it going? These are crucial questions for applications such as autonomous driving. We work in diverse topics such as tracking, segmentation, detection, localization and are on our way to building maps with social and dynamic information in them. Given that we use neural networks on a daily basis, we also focus a great deal of effort to improve them, researching new ways for them to deal with videos as well as more fundamental Machine Learning aspects.
